I have been able to still stay organized and on top of school work all while travelling weekend after weekend and experiencing different cultures all over Europe. This is all so incredibly useful and fundamental for university life because it requires even more independence and self-awareness, which is why everything that we have gained from NJC will follow us wherever we go. Mary Jane Tucker ’16, McGill University - Engineering
We’ve conquered every challenge, learned every lesson and experienced as much as we could. Now what? Well after such a bustling year, it’s time to enjoy the view. From where we stand, atop this mountain, we can see forever. Our view of the world has expanded and we have an advantageous point to look out from. After experiencing a variety of cultures and accepting a new independence, our horizons have broadened. What can’t we do now? We have a full understanding of the world around us, we have travelled the world by ourselves and we have thrived when new challenges have presented themselves. There is no dream or goal that we cannot achieve, since from where we stand, atop this mountain, we can see over any obstacle. Kienan Holash ’15, Class Valedictorian
University of Saskatchewan, Kinesiology
Neuchâtel truly was a life changing experience and I am leaving this school a different, more responsible and mature person who has a new appreciation for life and what I have. I am so fortunate to have spent this year in Switzerland and would not have wanted to spend my Grade 12 year any other way.
Audrey Hamilton ’14, Western University - Social Sciences with Business at Ivey
Our Purpose
Igniting a lifelong sense of adventure, courage and purpose through an extraordinary, immersive education.
Academics at the school have prepared me for my next steps in eduction and have given me the tools with which to enter university. I feel that the course content of classes has made me a harder worker and has prepared me for course loads in the future. Reilly McIsaac ’15, University of Guelph - Animal Biology
I have also learned some very important life skills, organization being the biggest one. By having to juggle a very busy schedule of homework and travel you really have to be organized. By having so much to do in so little time this year, I think that university will be a walk in the park. I will already know the key to having fun and doing work which some of my friends really struggled with in first year. Lucy Boulton ’14, University of St Andrews - English
Academically, studying at NJC pushed me to attain the highest I could achieve. With help from able teachers and the incentive to work hard during the week so that I could travel around Europe, I attained one of the highest marks on a midterm report, which let me get into my number one program. Heather McCann ’16, University of Western Ontario - MIT
This year has prepared me for my future career in a way I could never have expected. In the field of business (my intended path) social skills, confidence, past experience, and joviality are all critical factors for being successful. After this year, I can confidently say that I feel ready to enter the business world. Alex Bogdan ’15, Wilfrid Laurier University - Commerce
