Message
I of the CAC Sally Morris
from the Chair
Chair, Canadian Advisory Committee
am delighted to be the new Chair of the Canadian Advisory Committee “CAC”
of Neuchâtel Junior College after having been a member since 2010. As a proud parent of two NJC graduates, Katie Morris ‘10 and Harry Morris ‘12, I am a passionate supporter of our world-class school. I have seen first-hand what a life-changing experience NJC was for my children and how it started them on their way to becoming engaged global citizens. The friendships that they made at NJC are incredibly strong and they have both continued to live with, and keep in touch with, their NJC friends throughout university.
I have taken over the reins at a busy time in our NJC history leading up to our 60th anniversary celebrations in 2016. We want to take the opportunity of the 60th to re-engage with the NJC community including alumni and past parents. We have
set an ambitious fundraising goal of $1,000,060 for our 60th anniversary year. The funds raised will serve to keep our facilities in state-of-the-art condition as well as to increase our bursary award fund to make the NJC experience available to all deserving candidates. We are counting on the passionate engagement of our NJC community to reach our goals for the 60th and to make our celebration a huge success!
The CAC is also in the process of upgrading NJC’s five-year strategic plan. We want to ensure that our school continues to be relevant and successful for another sixty years and more. We look forward to sharing the strategic initiatives with you this fall.
Your continued support of NJC is much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you at the 60th anniversary gala in October!
Sally Morris
Chair, Canadian Advisory Committee
The Canadian Advisory Committee meets six times per year. Its role is to assist the Swiss governing Board (Le Conseil de fondation) on the development and advancement of the objectives of the College. These policy volunteers may reside anywhere in Canada and are bound by a common goal of improving the quality of both the education and the experience provided to NJC students. If you are interested in becoming a candidate for membership on the CAC, please contact Governance Chair, Tina Debos at cac@neuchatel.org.
