NAJC Fund
NJC ANNUAL FUND 2015-16
s we all know, Neuchâtel is a special experience that can only be truly appreciated by those who have attended or have witnessed the transformation in one who has been a student at NJC. There are many top students who embark on this journey of a lifetime who would be unable to access the experience without the support of our community. You, our generous donors, have so far contributed $79,212 to this year’s Annual Fund Campaign. Thank you for helping our future alumni attend the school and travel while also contributing to the preservation of the campus facilities, which are the integral home-base of the NJC experience.
Over the past 5 years, through a conservative investment policy, donor cultivation, and expense management, The NJC Fund has seen the invested assets increase from approximately $400,000 to almost $600,000, with more than two thirds in endowed funds.
We now look to the 60th anniversary of the school as a way to remind alumni of the extraordinary school that connects us all. We wish to remind you of the life-changing experiences you had, that you will never forget, and friends who will never let you forget them. This is a time for reflection, but also a time to set the path forward for the school.
As we examine the landscape of education, we’ve realized as much as other schools have, the key ingredient for a school like NJC to continue to succeed is to ensure that anyone who merits attending Neuchâtel Junior College is able to.
We are convinced that if we are to continue attracting a full enrolment of inspiring students over the next 60 years, it will, in part, be contingent on expanding the accessibility of our school. It will also require preserving and enhancing our facilities, and continuing to employ the very best educators who deliver a 21st century curriculum.
Leonard Wilde was ahead of his time in devising the NJC formula, and it is up to us, alumni from 1956 to present, to ensure that his formula both endures and evolves.
Once again, thank you to all our generous donors for your continued support of Neuchâtel Junior College, and I look forward to seeing you at the 60th anniversary celebrations!
