We are happy to report that the consensus we achieved with our thirteen Focus Groups, Interior Design Committee, Membership Committee and Bar Committee have been achieved in our current design. These include:
• An intimate, cozy space that takes advantage of our natural surroundings and optimizes our outdoor culture but builds on what we already have.
• A modern facility with modern amenities, technology & food and beverage options but with a classic, warm feel, re ective of our intimate outdoor and rustic culture.
• Clean lines, inspired by modern northern European ski lodge design with lots of natural materials (wood) and natural light.
• Increased seating and washrooms (particularly female) over what currently exist in the combined total of the existing clubhouse and West Lodge.
We are pleased to con rm that the bar seating is exactly the same proportions as the Clubhouse has now, with an added bene t, that this area can be moved for events, making the bar an integral part of the whole area.
The childcare area has been combined to provide care for toddlers and infants in the same general area (still separated so the babies can sleep) and these are up to modern speci cations and requirements of a licensed daycare.
We have a modern Marché area, with a proper sized central kitchen to provide far more ef cient food services. Our Design Team was greatly assisted by Rob Nella.
