The
Alpine O ce
Greetings from the Alpine Of ce! During the off-season we have continued to make some exciting changes in the Alpine Of ce and we hope that they continue to
make your time with us easy & enjoyable! Please take a look at the information laid out below and as always, let us know if we can do anything to help make your season amazing!
Parent Information Sessions – January 5th
Again, this year we will be hosting a Parent Information Session. This drop-in style session provides information for each of our Alpine Programs. If you have an athlete in any of our programs, please mark your calendar for Sunday, January 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Please plan on stopping by the Alpine Centre to meet our Program Supervisors, pick up calendars and schedules for the season, ensure we have your correct contact information and to sign up to help at one of the many races and events we host each season!
Please note – although this is a drop-in event it is very important you attend to ensure that you pick up the necessary paperwork for your program.
Alpine Communications
Team Snap – Again this year we are going to be using an app called TeamSnap for all of our Alpine Programs, from Cubs right up to our Teen programs. Please watch for your invite to join the app and make sure to accept! Our goal is to send the majority of our communications through the app moving forward. To check out the app and what we are talking about please go to www.teamsnap.com.
Weekly Updates – Each week during the season we send out an update that covers anything and everything from upcoming events, Team schedules, important reminders and much more. Please ensure that you read these updates each week.
Alpine Program Checklists – To ensure you have an easy start to your season please ensure that you read your program checklists that were sent with your program registration con rmation email. This outlines not only what paperwork is required for your program but other important information including equipment needed, important dates and more. If you have not received your 2019/20 checklist, please contact the Alpine Of ce at alpine@georgianpeaks.com.
Special Requests – If you wish to make a special request for Group/Team placement for the 10-week programs, you must do so IN WRITING to the Alpine Of ce no later than DECEMBER 30th at NOON. Requests must come from all families involved for the request to be considered.
Calling all Volunteers
As always, we are looking for Parent Volunteers to get involved with all aspects of the programs. If you are interested in volunteering with the Children’s, Youth Ski School or Racing programs please contact us in the Alpine Of ce at alpine@georgianpeaks.com or watch for updates with volunteering opportunities throughout the season.
Some exciting volunteer opportunities for the 2019/20 Season:
• Manage your athlete’s racing team
• Learn to be a Regional Technical Delegate for your athlete’s races
• Volunteer to set up or help at your athlete’s year end banquet
• Try out a new volunteer position at a race – slipping, gate keeping or being a Finish Referee!
If you want to volunteer but don’t know what your options are – let us know. We would be happy to help you get involved! Please stop by the Alpine Of ce or email us at alpine@georgianpeaks.com.
As always, we are here to help! If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch –
