NJC has taught me the importance of taking a chance, leaving your comfort zone, and taking advantage of every opportunity.
Charlie Bannister ’19, Arts, Queen’s University
Going into my first guidance meeting with Ms. Adriaanse, I was pretty unsure of where I would end up. I came out of that meeting with five schools, a field of study, and confidence in my future that I had never had before. I can’t even begin to describe how important that guidance was for me and how much the confidence I gained is worth.
Nick DiBattista ’18, Dual Degree in Political Science and Law, Wilfrid Laurier University
The freedom I’ve had to explore and find myself has taught me a lot about responsibility and how to take care of myself. From these lessons, I know I am prepared for university and the rest of my life ahead of me, where I will face a whole new type of freedom and will know how to handle it, thanks to NJC.
Megan Simpson ’17, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia
Our Purpose
Igniting a lifelong sense of adventure, courage and purpose through an extraordinary, immersive education.
Academically, studying at NJC pushed me to attain the highest I could achieve. With help from able teachers and the incentive to work hard during the week so that I could travel around Europe, I attained one of the highest marks on a midterm report, which let me get into my number one program.
Heather McCann ’16, MIT, Western University
We’ve conquered every challenge, learned every lesson and experienced as much as we could. Now what? Well after such a bustling year, it’s time to enjoy the view. From where we stand, atop this mountain, we can see forever. Our view of the world has expanded and we have an advantageous point to look out from. After experiencing a variety of cultures and accepting a new independence, our horizons have broadened. What can’t we do now? We have a full understanding of the world around us, we have travelled the world by ourselves and we have thrived when new challenges have presented themselves. There is no dream or goal that we cannot achieve, since from where we stand, atop this mountain, we can see over any obstacle.
Kienan Holash ’15, Class Valedictorian, Kinesiology, University of Saskatchewan
