Advancing NJC
Donors who support Neuchâtel Junior College are an exceptional group of supporters — loyal parents and alumni who believe in the importance of global experiential education, understand the value of a year at NJC and are enormously grateful for the gift that the school has given their families.
Our Honorary Patrons’ Council is an example of such dedication: a group of visionary philanthropists who provide the school with progressive leadership and are working to advance the school’s efforts in Major and Legacy Giving through their own charitable giving and by championing advances at the school with others.
Each Patron pledges a significant personal contribution to help NJC fulfill its mission and achieve the exceptional goals laid out in the school’s Strategic Plan. Patrons advocate for a selection of special projects specific to the priorities identified by the Head of School and the Canadian Advisory Committee.
This year's priorities are strategic choices that will enhance every facet of the school’s mandate and include Alumni Mentoring, specialized Scholarships and Bursaries, growing the endowment, Curriculum Development and, of course, the current undertaking to revitalize the campus.
As many of you know, inaugural members Dr. Daniel Andreae '72 and Mr. Kenneth Tan both provided significant matches to contribute to the campus improvement and to endowed scholarships that will intensify support from the community.
Over the past year, the Patrons commitment has resulted in an outstanding group pledge of over $300,000, an investment that will have a lasting impact on the growth of The Neuchâtel Junior College Fund’s endowment and on this year's effort to revitalize the campus.
“Our Patrons have already built a legacy that will touch generations of exceptional students," said Mr. Andrew Keleher, Head of School. “Not only have they helped to reinforce the architectural heritage of the Foyer, but our facilities will be greener and our costs diminished, while the Bill Boyer Scholarship will guarantee that NJC will be able to welcome even more students on an annual basis. The impacts of their gratitude, loyalty and passion for NJC will be felt for years to come.”
