Dear NJC Staff,
Parents
and Alumni,
The scholarship that I received from NJC has been priceless to me. It helped me start to figure who I am, what I believe and how I’d like to shape my life.
“On behalf of all scholarship recipients, I hope that you will convey my sincere thanks to all the donors who
give to the school. I will work to repay their faith in me with my every future choice and interaction.
I feel so fortunate to have been able to travel to so many different European cities and countries. These experiences greatly enhanced my learning and gave me opportunities
to contemplate my future and make better decisions. I gained confidence but I learned so much about the world and the cultures that make it so rich and complex.
The Netherlands Model United Nations trip taught me the basics of how to make resolutions and represent my country; the Luxembourg trip and NESDA taught me the importance of my voice; the Poland trip taught me about anti-semitism but also gave me an emotional connection to history; the Kenya trip was life-changing and taught me about critical global issues like education accessibility, water sustainability, income disparity and social responsibility.
If it weren’t for the many alumni and parents who share their resources with NJC, I never would have realized that I am deeply interested in global issues and want to work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
I would like you all to know that I made the most of the guidance that I received at NJC and was accepted into Carleton University’s Public Affairs and Policy Management program.
On behalf of all scholarship recipients, I hope that you will convey my sincere thanks to all the donors who give to the school. I will work to repay your faith in me with my every future choice and interaction.
Thank you for your generosity, and thank you for believing in us!
Sincerely,
Courtney Campbell ‘18
