2.4 Definition Shampoo
Shampoo is a hair care product, typically in the form of a viscous liquid, that is used
for cleaning hair. Less commonly, shampoo is available in bar form, like a bar of soap.
Shampoo is used by applying it to wet hair, massaging the product into the scalp, and
then rinsing it out.
2.5 Definition soap
Soap is a salt of a fatty acid used in a variety of cleansing and lubricating products. In
a domestic setting, soaps are surfactants usually used for washing, bathing, and other
types of housekeeping. In industrial settings, soaps are used as thickeners,
components of some lubricants, and precursors to catalysts.
2.6 Definition serum
Serum is the fluid and solute component of blood which does not play a role in
clotting. It may be defined as blood plasma without fibrinogens. Serum includes all
proteins not used in blood clotting; all electrolytes, antibodies, antigens, hormones;
and any exogenous substances.
2.7 Definition coditioner
Hair conditioner is a hair care product used to improve the feel, appearance and
manageability of hair. Its main purpose is to reduce friction between strands of hair to
allow smoother brushing or combing, which might otherwise cause damage to the
scalp.
2.8 Definition hair mask
A hair mask is a deep conditioning treatment that helps to heal damaged hair. They
contain rich ingredients such as natural oils and lipids, in heavier concentrations than
normal conditioners. You leave a hair mask in for an extended period of time, three
minutes to overnight.
