Material Transfer Agreements continued
MTA Negotiating Timeline. Most MTAs can be executed in a matter of
days while some take much longer. The time variation is almost always
a function of the nature of the collaborating organization. Non-profit or
academic entities are typically the fastest route.
For-profit corporations frequently require nonstandard MTA terms which
may add time to align with system requirements. Ensuring that the
questionnaire in Insight is complete accelerates the process. This includes
contact information and details such as protocol numbers for IRB approval,
as well as any draft agreements that may have been prepared. Please see
the next section for information on the IRB approval process.
