PROPERTIES
GEOFAT WP 30 is an oil especially developed for the production of
Waterproof leathers for footwear. GEOFAT WP 30 provides excellent
results of hydrofuging to leathers in Bally and Maeser tests.
GEOFAT WP 30 gives good softness, grain firmness, good filling,
round touch, and light fastness to leathers. It is recommended to use
3 – 6% of the product, dividing the offer in two additions. One in the
pre-fatliquoring during the retanning and the other in the principal
fatliquoring. It is indicated the application of GEOFAT WP 30 on
neutralized leathers with a pH 4.8 – 5.0. .
GEOFAT WP 30 must be fixed with the addition of chrome salt,
guaranteeing in this way a success Waterproof. It is also important to
perform washings to eliminate electrolytes resulting from the
neutralization and retanning. For the production of leathers of good
grain firmness and average softness, it is recommended to use 5 –
10% of GEOFAT WP 50.
