PROPERTIES
GEATEN AA 35 is a dyeing auxiliary used for penetra on of anionic
dyes with par cular proper es. Its ac on occurs with the dye and
not with the leather fiber and, therefore, results in highly efficient
dyeing. Thanks to its chemical composi on, its ac on does not
interfere with the leather's characteris cs, nor does it reduce the
color intensity. By interac ng only with the dye, it works as a delay in
its reac on with the leather, thus reducing the penetra on me.
Comparing the use of GEATEN AA 35 with conven onal penetra on
auxiliaries, a clear improvement in color yield can be seen. Another
advantage it offers is the equaliza on of the dye's penetra on
through the cross-sec on of the leather. GEATEN AA 35 must be
used in dyeing without interac ng with other synthe c or vegetable
retanning agents, as it reacts with such products, damaging its ac on.
Therefore, it is recommended to use it before or alongside dyes,
always in a new bath. In other cases, compa bility tests are
recommended. The recommended amount of use is 1 to 3% of the
shaved weight. GEATEN AA 35 can also be used in wet back, being
added together with the dilu on of the dyes. The aim is to reduce
the reac vity of the dye, providing the leather with an equalized and
intense top dyeing.
