HAIDEN DEEGAN
Haiden Deegan stood on the podium in
his first trip to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch back
in 2013, competing on a Cobra in the
51cc (4-6) Limited class. He put together another successful performance in 2015 where he took fifth place overall in the 51cc (7-8) Limited class with two moto wins under his belt. Unfortunately, the Califor- nian missed out on Loretta’s in 2016 due
to an injury, but he came back swinging at Mini-O’s with five number one plates and a second place overall finish in a week where he appeared to be in a class of his own. Deegan has dabbled on the 85cc machine throughout the 2017 season, but his main focus still rests on the 65 for Loretta’s. The Team Dunlop Elite rider grabbed another national title at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship in addition to a couple of po- dium finishes in the various 65cc classes. Danger Boy’s good fortune continued in
his home state of California as he wrapped up four more titles between the California Classic and the fiftieth running of Mam- moth Mountain Motocross, dominating most of the 65cc races that he competed in. Deegan punched his ticket to the Ranch with authority at the Prairie City Amateur Regional, scoring a first place finish in the 65cc (7-11) class as well as a second place overall finish in the 65cc (10-11) Limited class. The Orange Brigade rider has shown that he’s capable of running away at the front of the field, giving his rivals something to worry about while they’re waiting for the thirty second board to go sideways on the jam-packed gate at Loretta Lynn’s.
