IMAGE / MPG WORDS / PINTOR DESIGN / WILSON
>> Coming from Dallas with his best career finish this year
in 10th place, Malcolm was feeling happy and confident and was ready to take on Minneapolis. Knowing his Suzuki had the power Stewart just needed to focus and use that momen- tum from last week to pull together a top 10 finish this week. Happy go lucky Mookie starts of the first heat race with a me- diocre start but still in the top ten. Gaining speed throughout the race Malcolm charged down Baggett then Friese. Last lap of the heat race Stewart collides with a lapper and goes down, luckily losing no positions; taking 5th in his heat race. Malcolm comes out with a bang in the semi qualifier. Gaining speed in the whoops section the privateer steals first posi- tion from Mike Alessi. Malcolm will hold 1st place the entire race. Coming off a win in the semi Malcolm gets a decent gate pick for the main event. Getting a solid jump from the hole shot Stewart took 7th place with ease for the start. As track conditions deteriorated Mookie began to drop positions as factory riders took advantage of the tight track and slide through inside lines. Falling all the way back to 11th place, Malcolm will hold that position as he crosses the finish line. Not a top ten finish like he was hoping for, but Mookie stays positive as always and looks forward to next week’s race.
