Marvin Musquin carried his momentum from a solid fifth place second moto in Colora- do right into High Point where he clocked in the third fastest qualifying time of the morn- ing. He looked fresh and reju- venated after the week off and ready to keep building on his
season. Musquin nailed a great start in the opening moto emerging fourth place after some wild back and forth between he, Seely and Anderson in the early moments. He would work around Anderson for third and then be gifted with second place after Tomac went down. So just a few laps in and Musquin was sitting pretty in second but he had a freight train of riders behind him.
