ANDREW SHORT
2016 marks the farewell tour to the storied career of Andrew Short. The BTO Sports KTM rider has been through it all and will probably go down as one of the best riders to never win an outdoors 450 over- all. He’s been so close on numerous occasions amassing a multitude of second place finishes but just couldn’t breakthrough to win the overall on the day. He was always mister consistent and was in the
thick of the title chase each year during his prime. Unfortunately his career is winding to an end but he acknowledges that it is the right time to hang up the boots. He hasn’t been one of the top riders in recent years and has been getting injured more frequently than usual. The #29 was only able to race two supercrosses this year because of some gnarly crashes but he is healthy for the outdoors and has been strong a the first three rounds never straying far from right inside that top fifteen. It’ll be fun to watch this season to see if Short can put
together one more memorable ride and get up inside that top ten.
