WESTON PEICK
2016 has not been to kind to Auto Trader/Monster Energy JGR Yamaha Weston Peick. He made headlines for the wrong reasons at the Supercross season opener at Anaheim resulting in a suspension for the following round. Ever since that incident with Friese, Peick has never really been
able to return to that top five contender we became accustomed to last year. He only cracked the top ten five times compared to ten times last season. Injuries have nagged at him a bit keeping him from being 100% at mixing it up with the top riders. He was hoping to turn his year around at the start of the outdoor series but two DNF’s in the first three motos have not helped his cause. He suffered a concussion in moto one at Glen Helen forcing him to miss moto two and the following round in Colorado. The extra time off should do wonders for the California rider as he surely looked to fully recuperate and come out firing on all cylinders this weekend at High Point. It will be a nice sight to see the tough and gritty Weston Peick fighting for position back inside the top five.
