The motocross community was stunned shortly after round three of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship when it was announced that three-time champion Ryan Dungey would likely miss the remainder of the series due to a neck injury he suffered at Thunder Valley. It was surprising enough to hear that Dungey was injured because he has rarely ever been hurt but what made it even more surprising was that he finished the race
and charged to the front to finish fourth. He looked normal during the race and during post race interviews but stiffness in his neck prompted medical examinations and they revealed a cracked vertebrae immediately halting his season. We are sincerely bummed to see the defending champion go down like this but we wish him the best and are hoping for a speedy recovery.
