Andrew Short came into High Point for the final time of his career looking to continue his solid per-
formances and stay healthy so he can complete the season. He got things going with a good seven-
teenth quickest lap time in practice and was ready to get things going in the races. Shorty came out of lap one of moto one in fourteenth place. He got shuffled backwards to sixteenth during the crazy first few laps but settled in and looked to climb back up. Ten minutes into the race he clawed past Wentland and McConahy to get back up into the fourteenth spot. He felt com- fortable up there as that is right around where he has been for the majority of the season so far. He would pick up one more spot before the race ended thanks to a Weston Peick crash and end up finishing in the thirteenth position. Moto two was another good moto for the veteran as he got a decent start up in thirteenth place. Broc Tickle knocked him back to fourteenth in the opening laps but he stayed steady. He then would sneak back up into thirteenth place for a good portion of the race before his BTO Sports KTM teammate Justin Brayton pushed him right back to fourteenth. Short would stay smooth and consistent for the remainder of the moto and finish in that position making it 13-14 scores on the day. It would be good enough for twelfth overall and the farewell tour for Short continues after another smooth, consistent day at the races.
