He rebounded from a 5th place start in the 85cc (9-11) to take 3rd behind Jett Reynold’s and Matthew LeBlanc and couldn’t quite match the pace of Reynolds in the 85cc (9-12) class after they started 1st and 2nd. Romano finally grabbed the holeshot in his final race
of the day in the 65cc (10-11) class. He led fellow Team Green athlete Ryder DiFrancesco across the finish line, but made a small bobble in the first switchback section when he washed his front end out coming out of a deep rut. DiFrancesco couldn’t avoid him and they both went down, but Romano was able to use his aggressive style to fight his way back to 7th place from 15th, putting in his fastest lap of the race on the final lap.
