EYES
AND BADASSES.
Zach Osborne
It wasn’t to long ago everyone was antici- pating the pro debut of this amateur stand out. Riding for the factory KTM team, Zach Osborne had all eyes on him. Things didn’t exactly go to plan and Zach was faced with a decision. Instead of jumping off the deep end, he chose to jump across the pond
and race the MXGP series. A risky deci- sion in some eyes, but boy did it turn out
to be a good one. Building his career up with not only great finishes, but by uncom- monly competing in other motorcycle events besides motocross. From racing in Europe chasing a MX2 championship to dodging trees in GNCC. Not to mention Arenacross, Endurocross and joining the U.S. Trophy Team at the International Six-Days Enduro.
If there is an event involving a dirt bike, Zach has more than likely checked it off his list. Potentially the most well-rounded motocross rider in the sport today, the experience he has on two wheels is endless. Although Zach has a long list of accomplishments, he has yet to win a 250 Main event in Monster Energy Supercross. Last weekend at San Diego he was closer than ever. Getting a great start and grabbing the lead early in the race, it seemed Zach’s first win was well on its way. He would lead until lap 11 where he was passed by the defending champ Cooper Webb. Shortly after, the slick San Diego dirt would wash his front end out causing him to go down and give up a second place finish. If Zach gets out front early again this week- end at Anaheim 2, we may see a new face on the top step of the podium.
