ANDREW SHORT
Andrew Short’s farewell season is beginning to pick up some steam. Early in the year he was struggling just to finish in the top fifteen but now it seems that he dipped into the fountain of youth. He looked like his old
self again last week at Millville en route to a big season best seventh overall. Shorty looked fresh and energetic actually clawing his way up to fifth at one point in the first moto. It was a breath of fresh air seeing the veteran run up front again. His 8-8 performance capped off a string of season best races so he is clearly trending upwards. He will want to make it four straight season bests this weekend at Washougal. I’d say his chances are high because historically he has done very well there finishing outside of the top five just one time in the past five years. He clearly enjoys the track and it gels perfectly with his style. If he can get his BTO Sports KTM cleanly off the start, we could be seeing him back up in that top five and mixing it up with all the young guns.
