Phil Nicoletti has been all over the place this outdoor season. The Auto Trader/Monster Energy JGR Yamaha
rider has been fighting inside the top ten all season long. The only problem is that his results have not reflected those performances. All too often we see Filthy Phil fighting in the top ten and even frequently in the top five but he hasn’t been able to seal the deal most occasions. Crashes have been his greatest downfall and have seriously poorly influenced his results. His early race speed is on par with the top guys in the class and he is able to give them some problems. He’s known to be one of the tougher guys to pass out on the track and riders late in races always loathe seeing the #38 jersey ahead of them. Nicoletti was able to nail an all around solid race during the second moto last weekend at Millville and is hoping that momentum will carry over to Washougal. We know he can get the starts and run up front early but the question is if he can hold onto it to the end.
