Josh Hayes
started the 2017 MotoAmerica season a little bit off the pace from his main rivals at the first round
in Texas. Nonetheless, the forty- two year old’s veteran experience rose to the forefront as he came back from a faultless crash in the first race of the season to salvage
a couple of points. In the second race at Circuit of the Americas, Hayes proved that he’s capable of running with the front runners yet again as he matched the pace of the leading trio until the late stages of the race, finishing in a comfortable fourth position. The Mississippi native undoubtedly has the most experience of anyone in the class at the two and a half mile Road Atlanta circuit -- he did the double down
in Georgia in 2015 and finished on the podium there last year as well, presenting a prime opportunity for him to rebound from the rocky start to his season.
