The first couple days of the weekend were a bit of a struggle for
Eslick as he was chasing an optimal setup throughout the practice sessions. Nonetheless, he proved himself as one of the most naturally gifted riders in the paddock and placed his YZF-R1 in Superpole as he continued to improve over the course of the weekend. The Oklahoma native wound up clocking the eleventh fastest time in Superpole with
a 1:26.687, placing him on the fourth row of the grid for the opening race of the weekend. As the lights went out, Eslick was able to gain
a position on the opening lap as he settled into tenth place behind Jake Gagne. He found himself in a battle with Kyle Wyman throughout the first couple of laps, holding off his fellow Yamaha rider until lap three. ‘Slick’ held firm in eleventh position overall for the opening portion of the race, eventually tangling in a tightly contested battle with Bryce Prince for fourth place in the Superstock class. The two of them were glued together until the midway point of the race, but the compounding pressure forced Prince into a mistake and left Eslick
all by his lonesome until the checkered flag. The team made some serious progress in preparation for the second race and Eslick finally found a setup that worked in his favor. The final race started in a similar fashion as he launched his YZF-R1 down the start straight just outside the top ten in close contention with Kyle Wyman. After the early race carnage settled down, the Oklahoma native found himself
in eighth position, stuck in a battle with Prince once again. The two of them duked it out for a couple of laps, but Eslick found the pace to pull away as he battled with David Anthony all the way until the checkered flag. He managed to hold off the Aussie and earn second place overall in the Superstock class, taking his best finish of the season thus far into the one week break before round three.
