Danny Eslick made major strides throughout the opening round of the 2017 MotoAmerica series after leaving Circuit of the Americas with a podium finish in the second race. The Oklahoma native was coming into the 2017 season soaring on a wave of confidence after capturing his third career win at the Daytona 200, but an unsuccessful tire test prior to the season placed him behind the eight ball coming into the first round. Although the TOBC Racing Yamaha team was playing
catch up throughout
the opening weekend, they made the best of the circumstances and ended the weekend with a positive result heading into round two at Road Atlanta.
