Ciaran Naran did an exceptional job of staying fast and consistent at the very first SXA round of the year in Anaheim, California. The Husqvarna rider scored a third place in the 250 A class as well
as a fifth in the Open A class, completing the weekend with two solid top five finishes. He was able to keep the ball rolling as SXA moved to University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona for the second round, putting himself and his Husqvarna in the top five yet again. The 250 A class pro- duced a pair of fifth place fin- ishes for the California native. He struggled with his start in the heat race and was only able to salvage a fifth place, but in the main event against a full gate, Naran held strong in fifth ahead of heat race winner Carson Brown. In the Open A class, Naran struggled again in the heat race on his way to a ninth place finish. Nonetheless, he re- covered in time for the main event and put himself inside the top five with a solid fourth place finish to end his weekend in Glendale.
