Following a second and fifth place finish at the opening SXA round
in Anaheim, Carson Brown was eager to make the next step to the top of the podium at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. The Washington native got off to a flying start in both of his respective heat races, dominating the field in both the 250 A and Open A class- es to take both victories. His starts were on point since the very first round in Anaheim and he proved that yet again with two tremendous jumps out of the gate, propelling him to both heat race victories. Unfortunately for him, things didn’t go as smoothly in the main events and he wasn’t able to make his way back onto the top step of the box when it mattered most. In
the 250 A class, he managed a sixth place finish, but he put up a tremendous fight in the Open A class and came up just short to the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM of Mitchell Falk, ultimately finishing in second position.
