PARKER MASHBURN
After coming off of a serious injury at the start of the 2017 season, Parker Mashburn eased into the 2017 racing season as spring nationals got under- way. The Texan claimed four podium finishes at Oak Hill, some solid top ten results at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship, and another bunch of podiums at the California Classic -- but he was still yearning for more. Mashburn put his head down throughout the summer at Under- ground MX and the hard work paid off, resulting in two overall podium finishes in the treacherous conditions of Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. His results in Tennessee were just a warm up for the Orange Brigade backed rider as he continued to perform well, earning two titles at the Baja Brawl and two more at the Thor Winter Olympics. Considering what he achieved after spending last offseason rehabbing an injury, expect big things from a well oiled Mashburn in 2018.
DREW ADAMS
Drew Adams put together somewhat of a breakout year throughout the 2017 racing season, putting himself at the sharp end of competition in
the 50cc ranks. The Cobra Elite rider won his first Loretta Lynn’s National Championship in the 51cc (7-8) Limited class, winning all three motos in impeccable fashion. In addition
to his success at the Ranch on the smaller bike, the Tennessee native also finished second in the 65cc (7-9) Limited class, winning the final moto ahead of Kade Johnson. Adams left spring nationals with four number one plates last year and there’s a good chance that he’ll need two hands to carry all his trophies back to Moto X Compound this year as well. The nine year old has found his form in the younger of the 65cc classes at the beginning of the new year, claiming overall victories and multiple podiums in both Amateur Arenacross and Supercross competition.
