MIKAH CARPENTER
MIkah Carpenter has been one of the hottest prospects to explode onto the amateur motocross scene in the 50cc class throughout the past couple of years. The Cobra Elite rider has nerves of steel and is never shy to send it, often the only rider in his class to jump the most daring obstacles on the track. He had his first taste of success at Loretta Lynn’s in 2016, finishing second in the 51cc (4-6) Limited class, but he didn’t have the opportunity to back it up in 2017 due to an unfortunate injury. Nonetheless, Carpenter made the most of the rest of the year with multiple instances of success, earn- ing titles and podiums from the beginning of the season to the end. Spring nationals were a breeze for the youngster out of Illinois as he earned a title
at both Daytona and Freestone with two additional podiums. As if that’s not enough of an accomplishment, he traveled to Indianapolis the weekend between and won the KTM Junior SX at Lucas Oil Stadium. Carpenter has an incredibly well balanced skill set as he can excel both indoors and out, further exemplified by his win at Junior Moto X and his second place finish in the KTM Junior class at the 2017 Monster Energy Cup. Following the MEC, the Cobra Elite rider put it on the box at The Motoplayground Race in Ponca City and took home a title in the 51cc (7-8) class at Mini-O’s, proving he’ll be a major contender during spring nationals.
