WYATT LYONSMITH
A couple of solid motos in the Col- lege (18-24) class at the Daytona RCSX put Wyatt Lyonsmith on the right path heading into the 2018 spring events. The South Carolina native stayed consistent in that divi- sion at the World Center of Racing, earning two second place finishes between the heat race and the main event. In addition, Lyonsmith found some speed in the Open Pro Sport main event and snagged a sixth place result which placed him in good standing before Spring A Ding Ding. He reached the podium in the Open Pro Sport class at Un- derground MX, combining a fourth and second place finish in order to capture an overall podium. He also found the same sort of success in the College class, putting his KTM on the box in both motos in order to take a third place overall finish.
CHASE FASNACHT
Chase Fasnacht started off the 2018 Daytona RCSX with a couple of decent finishes in both College (18-24) and 250 B, scoring two sixth place results. The Yamaha backed rider put together a spirited charge in his College (18-24)
heat race, battling back from a start that put him outside the top fifteen on the opening lap of the race. Fasnacht pushed forward, crossing the line in thirteenth as he reached the finish for the first time, and eventually charged all the way to sixth position. He redeemed himself in the main event as he put himself at the front of the field im- mediately following the gate drop, laying claim to second position for the majority of the race. Fasnacht became engulfed in a battle with Wyatt Lyonsmith and forfeited the position just before the end of the race, eventually taking the check- ered flag in third position at the end of the main event.
