Let’s rewind to the year of 1620, zooming
in on the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was here, that settlers embarked on an all-or-nothing adventure, in search of new heights, and unchartered territory. Now let’s fast-forward to 2018, where a particular skill- ful resident resides, and he too has decided to launch a quest of innovation, display-
ing his talent. We’re talking about Owen Covell, a true New England Patriot, who’s been blazing through the spring events with impressive feats, including a remarkable second place finish at the RC Daytona Ama- teur Supercross. The aforementioned finish, occurring in the 65cc (10-11) division, was reinforced with multiple solid rides, including a seventh overall in the 85cc (9-11) class. He seems to be willing to test new waters, just as his preceding town-members did, dabbling into competition with his elders, on larger machinery. We see how successful they were in accomplishing their goals; now just imagine what he can do with the talent he possesses.
THOR POWELL
The name Thor just rings with waves of tenacity, aggressiveness, and assertiveness. Just as the mythologi- cal god of thunder and strength had provided, the modern day gladiator of Thor Powell tends to create a storm
at every event he chooses to attend. A whirlwind of remarkable speed and stamina, he caught every bit of com- petition in a cluster, while absolutely obliterating the RC Daytona Amateur Supercross course, taking third in the 65cc (10-11) main event. The sirens of storm warnings continued to ring, pro- viding a stretch of straight-line winds from Florida to Freestone, where he took home seventh overall in the 65cc (7-11) division. After performances
like these, many have began to take notice. Each member of his class has been put on high alert, and is encour- aged to seek shelter. He truly is a one-man wrecking machine, and can cause an absurd amount of destruction for the rest of the year.
