Mrs. Samples took off to the east
in early March, searching for Palm trees and podium finishes. Upon ar- rival, the sea breeze and sunny rays were there; if she could just find that podium relic, her trip would be com- plete. And just as we expected, her getaway from the state of Texas was considered successful, as her ultra- consistent two, two finishes, garnered a second overall for the event, in the Girls Jr. (9-13) class. She yearned for more, however, and would venture into the boys division, at the super- stacked Spring A Ding Ding event. Holding her own, she hit the course
in stride, taking home an astonishing seventh overall, in the 85cc Mini Sr 2 (12-14) division. It was now time for Freestone, and complete her heroic effort of a story, with another strong ride. She would do it, yet again, claiming a crazy-consistent score of second, and second, good enough for the silver medal. She’s on the brink of greatness, and with her ultra-compet- itive work-ethic, she could be looking to run the table very shortly.
LEVI KITCHEN
“The Chef” as we like to call him, showed up with the skillet hotter
than ever at the Freestone Amateur Championship, just a short time ago. He’s made the move to big bikes here in recent times, and although the pan and utensils are just a tad
bit larger, he can still run the stove and break the pot when necessary.
It was apparent in the 125 (12-16) class, where he absolutely launched out of the gate for moto number one, his throttle hand pinned to the hilt. Scooting through traffic, his ultra-ag- gressive flare had him on rails for the entire duration, the 125 silencer capti- vating the ears of all in attendance.
A fourth place moto finish would be the result, and moto two would be a place to up the ante. He would come out swinging, battling with the likes
of Max Miller, and Kaeden Kniffing. Holding his own, the steam would began to rise, ultimately reaching a boiling point when he hit third place. The stove would be turned off, a third overall would ensue, and he would begin to count down the minutes, un- til his next quest for glory. He’s ready, willing, and able.
