JORDAN TORRES
The name of Jordan Torres, and the word “consistency” are as synonymous as they come. This guy just breathes de- pendability, and has always been a fac- tor, since his initial burst on the national scene. The 2018 Freestone Amateur
MX championship was reiteration of his previous ways, where he displayed all single digit finishes, throughout six differ- ent motos. Even taking a moto win in the opening round of the 65cc (7-11) class,
it was all he could do to keep his KTM rocket ship beneath him, as he soared to the top of the leaderboard. A sixth overall in the (10-11) limited division, would be an impressive feat for many; but not Mr. Torres, as he wanted to keep rising to
the top, throughout the rest of the week. The 65cc (10-11) class, was an outing of fourth overall for the number 711, with his best effort accumulating with a runner-up finish, in the aforementioned (7-11) year old group. If you’re a team owner, spon- sor, or even a fan looking for someone
to cheer for, look no further than Jordan Torres. This guy always delivers, and is a threat at any event he chooses to go to.
ENZO TEMMERMAN
Enzo Temmerman; a sleek, swift like character out of Visalia, California. Catching the eyes of many at the James Stewart, Freestone Championship, his ability to maneuver the bike around at such a young age, was jaw dropping to say the least. Wheeling, wheel-tapping, and scrubbing every single in sight, the foundation of his technique was well be- yond his years, leading to efficiency and solid results thereafter. The 65cc (10-11) year old class, saw him cross the final stripe with seventh overall, which was very solid; yet he desired to do better. And then the uncommon would hap- pen. As many riders of a younger age, and smaller stature, might be afraid of a larger machine, and bigger classmates, young Enzo excelled. His best finish of the week actually came aboard the larger machine! He would rise to the occasion, and then some! His third and first place finishes, would combine for a hefty score of second overall in the 85cc (9-10) limited class. There aren’t too many people that have the ability to elevate at the drop of the hat, but Mr.Temmerman has shown us that he, has the character to do so.
