to top the charts with number one performances, and he would do just that. Eight total spins on the track, and eight finishes inside the top three. Simply amazing! The final result? Nothing crazy, just two second place overalls, as well as two champion- ships! The guy was simply on fire, and looked to carry the heat wave into Freestone. It was here, that
the undeviating results continued, plastering the leaderboard with eight top five finishes! Four overalls on the podium, his best being a second in the 250 C Jr. (12-16) Limited division, were replications of the most veteran like abilities. Ponca City, Oklahoma has been a staple on the racing circuit for numer- ous decades. It’s been part of some of the most historic championship runs, and greatest battles the sports ever seen. However, there’s a young man who carries the same amount of daunting speed as his predecessor’s, yet calls this place his permanent home. Tanner Scott, the Ponca City native, came into the Spring A Ding Ding national looking to make a name for himself, and he left with
his name ringing over the intercom. Numerous top ten finishes, would cultivate in spectacular rides of both a third place overall, and a champion- ship in the 450 C division. Next it was the Freestone Amateur Champion- ship, where top tens would occur, one after the other. Ninths turned to eighths, and then to sevenths, and
so on, eventually placing him in sixth overall, his best finish of the week, in the 450 C Jr. (12-18) Limited class. With a solid team behind, he knows he can gravitate towards the front
of the pack with due time. His team believes in him, and most importantly, he believes in himself.
