DYLAN WRIGHT
Canadian Phenom Dylan Wright has been a big name in the Canadian motocross circuit for years
now. Dylan was a top rider in the amateur ranks for most of his career. The young star rides for the MX101 Yamaha team out of Eastern Ontario. Mx101 is actually a team based off of the Sand Del Lee track near Ottawa, the team is relatively new to the CMRC series and has quickly become a powerhouse team in the 250 ranks. Wright was still racing the Intermediate class when he signed up for his first professional race at Gopher Dunes in 2013. Dylan actually landed on the podium at his first pro national even though he was still technically an amateur athlete. 2016 marked Dylans 2nd full run at the Canadian championship and he made it clear that he was going to be a contender as he won the first moto of the series. Although the #17 did win the first race of the year the rest of the West Coast series didn’t go perfect and he found himself chasing points leader Cole Thompson and 2nd place rider Shawn Maffenbeier. No one was able to catch Cole throughout the season but Dylan took over the number two spot in the MX2 class and closed in on Maffenbeier in the east rounds. Dylan eventually finished 3rd overall in the 250 class and is looking to get his first pro title in 2017.
