Was anyone wondering who the #223 Yamaha rider was in the 250 class? His name is Dylan Wright, some may have already heard of him from scrub or whip pictures/videos that have gone viral in the motocross community. The Ironman National marked Wrights first time racing an AMA Pro national so he had to be super stoked qualifying 3rd overall in the 250 class with a 2:31.540 which was just .016 seconds slower than the class winner of the day Austin Forkner. As the starting gate was just seconds away from dropping Wright found himself in an unusual position, sitting behind the gate with some of the fastest 250 riders on earth. The rookie got a good jump and came around turn one in 7th position. Wright cased the step up and crashed hard before remounting in 20th.
