KAVEN BENOIT
The past two years in the MX2 class in Canada has been dominated by the KTM pilot, Kaven Benoit. It took many years for Kaven to receive factory support in Canada and by the time he did he instantly became a threat and was winning championships in no time. 2016 marked Kaven’s first
year in the 450 class, he represented the #11 aboard Ktm’s factory team in Canada. Kaven might have had the credentials to be a title contender but a load of Americans went to race the CMRC circuit and all of a sudden Benoit was an underdog. The Thor Ktm team proved to be the top of the class in Canada and their decision to have Benoit worked out great. Kaven was Canada’s top Canadian in the Mx1 class finishing 3rd in the series behind American super star Davi Millsaps and last years champ Matt Georke. The 450 rookie has also been chosen to represent Canada at this years MXON.
