Jerry Robin was ready to get muddy as the rainy day began in Indiana. He qualified inside the top twenty and went to the race with confidence. When the first 450 moto began, Jerry did not get the best jump and was fighting to get inside the top twenty early on. He shuffled back to 23rd but eventually began to find
some speed. He was knocking on the door of a top twenty as they neared the halfway point. Unfortunately, the Indiana ruts got the best of the young Minnesota rider around the halfway point as he found himself two laps down in a hurry. He would regroup and focus on the last moto of the year. Jerry got a much better start in the next moto and was trying to get into the top fifteen early on. Robin was able to make the move and was running a respectable 15th place as they made it to the halfway point. Robin then slipped back to 16th, as Benny Bloss demanded the position. Jerry was now five minutes away from his best finish of his three-weekend career. Then, with three laps to go, the deep ruts got the best of Jerry again as he began to drop positions quickly. Jerry was plagued with troubles in Indiana but there is no doubt that he can pick up another ride for 2017, and make a name for himself in the pro ranks.
