>> Hunter Schlosser timed the gate drop with near perfec- tion and immediately began to push the pace on the opening lap as he separated himself from the field. He had a massive gap by the time the green flag had come out to signify the first flying lap, but he immediately started to make mistakes throughout the second lap. Schlosser ended up making an incredibly costly mistake just before the tabletop coming into the spectators area which forced him off of his bike and put him on the ground, relegating him back to 12th position. That handed the advantage over to the Suzuki rider of Juan Lynch and the Argentinean did his best to try and maintain the advantage that he inherited. Meanwhile, California’s Antonio Calavano was battling back from a dreadful start which put him outside the top 10 on the opening lap. He was able to carve his way through the pack and fight his way all the way up to 3rd by the time he crossed the finish line for the second time. It didn’t take long until Lynch came under pressure from the GPF supported Yamaha rider as he clocked the fastest lap of the moto on the penultimate lap. The Californian made the pass on the final lap which propelled him to his second victory on the day, putting him in optimal position to secure two championships when he lines up on the gate for the sec- ond motos on Saturday.
