>> Armando Fehr led the race early on ahead of Brandon Yates and Cole Tompkins. The Kawasaki rider of Fehr did
his best to hold onto the lead throughout the opening lap of the race, but he wasn’t able to withstand the pressure from Suzuki’s Yates. He was forced to concede the lead to the Suzuki rider and eventually followed him through as the duo began to drop the Kawasaki rider in 3rd. They left him behind over the course of the next couple laps as they got involved in their own battle for the victory. Yates held a narrow margin over the Honda of Tompkins and he was just able to maintain the lead across the finish line as he grabbed the checkered flag. The victory will put him in a prime position to grab the overall heading into the 2nd moto.
