>> John Grewe put himself out front of yet another race aboard his Kawasaki holeshot machine ahead of Barry Carsten and Earl May. Grewe and Carsten showed their class as they immediately began to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. They swiftly dropped the Kawasaki of May behind as they clocked lap times almost 10 seconds faster than any of their competitors. Carsten was pushing his Suzuki to the limits; he was able to best Grewe’s pace early on in the moto, but the Kawasaki rider out of Michigan found a way to turn it up toward the end of the race. Grewe set his fastest lap time on the penultimate lap which finally broke the charge of the Suzuki in tow, securing his place at the front
of the pack. The newly improved gap helped him to cruise to the finish line for yet another dominant victory ahead of Carsten and May - a perfect reflection of the overall podium.
