>> Garrett Marchbanks continued his streak of spectacular starts on Saturday as he put himself at an early advantage right from the get-go. The Team Green Kawasaki rider fell under pressure from the Yamaha duo of Austin Winslow and Carter Halpain. The leading trio was separated by a gap of about one second per rider as they laid down a scorching pace that allowed them to break away from the rest of the pack. Halpain began to pile the pressure on Winslow for 2nd as he looked to move into the overall lead ahead of March- banks. The EBR backed Yamaha rider worked the outside line dropping down into the gator pit and pulled up alongside of Winslow, eventually making the pass stick up the incline of the pit and over the dinner table. Although Halpain had the overall victory firmly in his grasp, he was still pushing
the pace in an attempt to reel in Marchbanks in the lead. Meanwhile, Winslow made a mistake and allowed the newly signed Team Green Kawasaki rider of Carson Brown into the final podium spot. Halpain rolled down into the gator pit with one finger stuck straight up toward the heavens as he se- cured the overall victory with a 2nd place. Marchbanks took 2nd overall with his teammate Carson Brown rounding out the overall podium.
