>> Seth Dennis sprung out to an early lead and grabbed the holeshot ahead of Mikah Carpenter and Mason Raynor. Den- nis set a fiery pace from the leading position, but Carpenter was determined to keep the Florida native in check as he pushed to stay within striking distance on his Cobra machine. Raynor fell a little bit off the pace of the two leaders, but he continued to ride only a couple of seconds behind them, ready to pounce on the leading group if any mistakes were made. Carpenter pushed hard on the final lap in an attempt to steal the lead from Dennis on the white flag lap. The two of them were airing out jumps that no other 50cc machines were able to clear, pushing the pace in a vicious battle for the bragging rights heading into the final moto. Dennis was able to hold onto the advantage at the front of the field, but Carpenter will be content with the pressure that he was able to put on the winner.
