>> It was all Yamaha power at the front of the field as Justin Cooper and Challen Tennant put themselves at the head
of the pack coming out of the first corner. Cooper began to break away headed into the gator pit and he put a couple of seconds into his fellow Yamaha rider by the time they made their way around to the green flag. After Tennant settled
into the flow of the race, he was able to make up a little bit
of time on the leader. He set the fastest lap time of the race on the 3rd lap as he closed up within a second of the New York native. Tennant seemed to be faster through the tighter corners and he was able to close the gap to just under half a second in the section before the finish line, but Cooper rode with unwavering composure as he resisted the pressure from the Star Racing Yamaha rider. Meanwhile, Sean Cantrell was able to put his KTM into 3rd position past Joshua Guffey, eventually pulling away and circulating in a lonely 3rd posi- tion. Cooper was able to break the charge from Tennant on the final lap, taking a look over his shoulder in front of the Gizmo Mods tower to check the gap that he had built. The Cycletrader/Rock River backed rider was able to hold on for the win and take his first step toward a 450 A overall victory.
