tor pit just inside the top 10. He immediately began making moves through the riders ahead of him, eventually working his way into 3rd position past his brother just before they took the green flag. The #1 Husqvarna of Renner continued to close in on the leading duo, he made another move down in the gator pit as he pushed his way past Casey Clark just before the finish line. Renner only took one more lap to close up to the rear fender of Smith in the lead. He was finally able to make the move through the whoops section by using an outside line that propelled him to the lead as if he was shot out of a cannon. Ricky Renner cruised to the checkered flag in relative comfort after grabbing the lead, making a state- ment in the first moto that he’s one rider to watch in the battle for the overall.
