DAYTONAANDERSON

The Californian wasn’t able to get the dry track time that he needed in order to properly learn the track on Friday considering it was
his first trip to the circuit, making Saturday’s qualifying session a bit challenging for the Rickdiculous Racing rider. He still managed
to clock the twelfth fastest time and stuck his Yamaha on the fourth row of the grid with a 1:33.591 one one of his final laps of the
session.
In the first race of the weekend, Anderson didn’t get the best start and fell back to thirteenth spot on the opening lap. He executed some hard moves under braking and worked his way up to eleventh position as he found himself in a battle with the New Zealander of Shane Richardson. The two of them duked it out for a number of laps until Jason Aguilar came sweeping through, shortly thereafter joined by Braeden Ortt. The Canadian made it a closely contested battle for twelfth position, but Anderson maintained the advantage for the majority of the race. He found himself in a heated battle for twelfth place with his fellow Yamaha rider, but unfortunately he suffered some misfortune and wasn’t able to finish the race. As the lights went out on Sunday, the Californian executed a better start as he moved up to twelfth position on the first lap. He took advantage of a mistake further up the field and got stuck into eleventh place, turning consistent lap times behind the Altus Motorsports Suzuki of JC Camacho. Anderson made the move just before the halfway point, promoting himself within the top ten as he continued to move his way up the order. The Californian held strong in ninth position until the final stages of the race when a massive battle erupted between a trio of riders and he eventually lost out to the rest of the pack, finishing in eleventh position at the finish line.
