Vince Friese is enjoying a fine first full season in the 450 class. He began the season in dramatic fashion by being on the receiv- ing end of a flurry of punches from a very upset Weston Peick but since then Friese is quietly producing some solid, consistent results. The rider originally hailing from Cape Girardeau, Missouri has always been known to grab great holeshots and he has kept that trend alive here this season. He is continually putting himself in favorable position at the front of the field and it has cer- tainly translated to better results. Friese is on a little bit of a hot streak right now finishing inside the top fifteen in each of the last five races. Prior to this streak, he hadn’t finished better than sixteenth the entire season. It’s certainly a positive for Friese as the level of competition this year may be the deepest we have ever seen. He will look to keep that streak going until he gets himself inside that coveted top ten for the first time since 2013.
