The opening event of the night’s festivities found Bloss prepared to take aim and battle with his
fists clinched. As the bell rang and the competition dashed towards the green flag, Benny would sit ninth; the position didn’t last for long however, as he sprung those chicken legs in full force, and leaped into seventh to begin the second lap. Bobbing and weaving through the field, he continued his push to the front, yanking Jacob Williamson to the side and residing in sixth with three to go. Next up, Daniel Herrlein; the red Honda appeared as a mirage of a bloody, wounded animal, and Benny quickly capitalized, overtaking the Ohio native and fifth position. He would remain here until the checkered flew, eagerly awaiting the main event.
The lanky frame of Bloss had the Yamaha 250 appearing to look more like a tricycle rather than a dirtbike for the beginning of the 250 main event, as he pedaled his way to disappointing 19th place start. Choosing not to be let down, Bloss fiercely began to dig his tire tread into the Indianapolis soil, striving for that sensational grip in each and every corner. The momentum began to show, as he had worked his way up tenth by lap four. Encountering battle after battle, he yielded tenth and eleventh to Luke Renzland and Dakota Alix near the halfway point, dropping him to twelfth.
The snowball effect began to take its course after those positions were given, as a mistake by Benny would place him in 20th on lap nine. After this point, many would choose to toss this race in the trashcan, and eagerly awate the next venue to try again, not Bloss however. Although two laps down, he decided to keep pushing, gaining only one position, but displaying an effort that was admired by both fans and competitors alike; he would finish 19th.
