The number 53 appeared as a sleek, black and green monster in front of the camera for the second 250 heat. choosing the furthest inside gate, his jump was the opposite of ferocious however, finding
himself struggling to a ninth place start in the early moments. Despite being amidst all the mid-pack chaos, Bowers’ maturity began to blossom, as he meticulously handpicked positions in front of him. Disposing of RJ Hampshire and Dakota Alix prior to lap number two, Bowers began to glance in each adjacent section to monitor the leaders, Malcolm Stewart and Aaron Plessinger. The pace by the front runner’s was unfortunately too much to overcome, and Bowers would hold on to third for the rest of the moto.
The aroma around the 53 behind each gatedrop had a very unpleasant stench, leaving many wondering what the foul smell actually was. It was Bowers’ reaction time, and it absolutely stunk to high heaven, resulting in a sixteenth place start for the main event. Equipped with shield and sword, Bowers walked through the line of competition slaying foe after foe, left and right, residing in eighth
on lap four. The jousting of RJ Hampshire would prove quite the test to Bowers however, and eventually result in Tyler succumbing to
the Geico rider, placing him ninth through the halfway point. With the mistake of Jeremy Martin, the field shuffled up a position, shifting Bowers to eighth, where he would stay and finish out the evening.
